Kevin McGrath is the co-founder and CEO of Beacon. He has a background in design and has been running his own businesses for more than 10 years.
I was born in N. Ireland and studied Interactive Multimedia Design at the University of Ulster. When in my final year of university I co-founded Starfish Web Consulting with my older brother Eoin.
After running Starfish for 9 years we decided to try a new challenge. After spending so many years designing and building software on behalf of clients we wanted to take ownership of own product.
After a few false starts and products that never got off the runway, Beacon was born. In its early days Beacon was a tool to help journalists create and sell digital magazines. Eventually it evolved into a lead magnet tool for marketers. I learned a lot through this journey and now want to share my experiences with as many people as I can.
